Parenting Tips, Info, & Advice
Is connection one of your values? It’s one of mine!
What do you know about The Heartful Parent, really?
You graciously let me into your inbox nearly every week—a privilege I do not take lightly—and listen to my thoughts on both parenting and safety issues.
You may know me personally, you may be a client or former client, you may have heard me speak, or you may have stumbled upon my site and seen something that piqued your interest.
However you arrived here, I believe it is my job to not just share my ideas, expertise, and training, but to make sure you know my values.
How better to know if we align?
This thought was prominent for me in the recent re-design of my website, and so it was critical as far as I was concerned, that each of my clients, readers, followers, and friends knows what matters to me in this work.
In coming months, I will occasionally highlight one of these, as we dive into some aspect of parenting, but for today, I’d love to focus on CONNECTION.
On the website, I share my view that “relationship is at the heart of everything we do as caregivers, for without it, there is no learning.”
I believe that deeply, and that it extends beyond just parenting—we cannot learn, we cannot grow, and we cannot cultivate curiosity, respect, and non-judgement without connection.
We were never meant to parent alone. And yet too many of us are.
For that reason, connection is at the heart of everything I do at the helm of The Heartful Parent Collective.
I strive every day to connect on a deep, personal level with my coaching clients.
I work to maintain relationships with any of the Academy members who wish to do so.
And I am committed to building a connected online community (will you join me on Facebook or Instagram?).
But this work is not, at its core, about me—it’s about YOU.
And so I leave you with these questions:
- What would you like to see more of at the Collective in terms of building community and connection?
- What would you like to know about me, my values, and my approach to this work?
- What does the intention of CONNECTION mean to you? How does it show up in your parenting, your partnering, or your professional life?
I look forward to hearing from you. This is a new era for The Heartful Parent, Savvy Parents Safe Kids, and The Heartful Parent Academy.
I can’t wait to build it with you.
